Then who shall say, but mirth and play is best of all?

What a wonderful start to 2010!

Photos of my South Africa adventure are finally uploaded (well, the best 170 of 700-odd photos anyway) on facebook, I recommend a look as it's a gorgeous country, and I also apologise in advance for getting very excited about all the animals in Kruger and posting at least one shot from each major sighting.

Bardcamp was (quelle surprise!) shiny and fun - particular wonder and joy happened on the last day, which centred about The Tempest: with transcedent music from Chris J (also the most wonderful Ariel), a sympathetic abused Caliban (Lynette), charm and hilarity from a generally strong cast, and of course Our Glorious Dictator Catriona at the helm as Prospero.
The last day also featured the Bardcamp Blues, which were great fun ("Well, we've seen the magic of Prospero / and we've heard how Ariel can really blow / But as we near the end of this Bardcamp song / There's just one question: what could possibly go wrong??").

And of course, as always, Bardcamp was studded with the starry presences of its generally fabulous people, with whom it is always a joy and a privilege to mix and make merry. *love in abundance*

All in all, a fantastic start to 2010: what a contrast from the end to 2009 for me!
