Living away from home for the first time was proving more difficult than Peter thought it would be. He had big dreams of freedom and being an adult, but when it came down to it he missed his bed, he missed home cooking, and he missed getting to see everyone for dinner. Including Nathan.

Fortunately, because he came from money he was able to get an ( Read more... )

"I didn't say that. It would be weird if you thought I was God." It was nice at times, though, he had to admit. But for the most part, he thought Peter could use to worship him a little less. That's probably how this whole damn thing started.

He pursed his lips, looking over at Peter, "That shirt happened to look nice on you. Next Christmas I'll get you a bib."

"That shirt was boring," he said, giving Nathan a shove over the bib comment. "Get me a red one. Its a cool color and ketchup won't show up on it." Peter grinned, wishing he could glide on the cart but Nathan had his paws on it this time.

"Can we go now? I'm hungry." Talking about ketchup made him think about burgers which made his stomach growl loudly.

"That shirt was respectable and made you look like a decent adult." Not like the rest of his clothes. But whatever. Peter could wear whatever he wanted, as long as he knew how to dress when it really mattered. "I'll get you a whole set of bibs for every occasion."

Nathan pushed the cart toward the front of the store, "Yeah, we'll go back to your place to drop this stuff off and then we can grab a bite to eat, alright?"

Maybe he didn't want to be an adult, or a Nathan clone. Not yet anyways.

"Can we get burgers and fries?" Peter silently prayed that Nathan wouldn't make him eat at a fancy place where he couldn't even read everything on the menu. He put a hand on the side of the cart and walked towards the checkout lanes with Nathan.

"Yeah, sure. Just try not to get any ketchup on your shirt," Nathan smirked, taking the things out of the cart and putting them on the conveyor belt.

"Want any of that chocolate?" he nodded his head toward the shelf next to them.

"Nope. Do you?" Peter wondered if sometimes Nathan bought him junk food just so he could sneak some without looking like a kid.

He stuffed his hands into his pockets and let Nathan do all the work, unloading everything. It was starting to feel like Nathan was his personal assistant today. He liked it!

Nathan let out a noncommittal sound, shrugging. If Peter wasn't getting any chocolate, he sure wasn't. Oh well, he didn't need it anyway.

He waited for everything to be rung up, swiping his credit card. "Go out and hail us a cab so we can just put this stuff in, alright?"

"Kay."

Peter slipped past his brother and went outside, glad he wasn't going to see the total. He'd just feel bad about how much money Nathan was spending on his crappy little apartment.

Peter rocked on his heels on the curb and hailed them a cab after a couple minutes, opening the door and asking the man to wait until his brother came out with everything.

Once Nathan was done inside, he wheeled the cart out, over to where he saw Peter with the cab. He smiled, loading everything in the trunk, then sat in once Peter got in.

"Well that was productive. Hopefully you'll get along a little better now, right?" He felt better, leaving Peter with a few more means of taking care of himself. He still felt bad that he couldn't be around more while Peter was growing up.

"I think it'll be better now, yeah. Thank you, Nate." Nobody was around besides the cabby so Peter leaned over and kissed Nathan's cheek, catching the corner of his mouth as he did. "Best big brother ever." He smiled and scooted back into his seat.

"Can't wait to sink my teeth into a big greasy burger and go to bed with a stomach ache!" Nothing better! "You should spend the night. Slumber party!" Okay, that wasn't reallly a joking question...

"Good. You're welcome." He tensed up at the kiss, but brushed it off. It wasn't a big deal. It's not like they weren't normally touchy-feely anyway. "Of course I'm the best big brother. I survived that shopping experience." He could really use some coffee now, though.

He laughed, shaking his head, "You should get a milk shake to go along with it. Then your stomach with really ache." He wasn't even going to respond to the slumber party thing. "What time do your roommates get back?" He asked instead.

"The two quiet ones have a study group tonight, so not til later. The other guy...I never know. He's hardly there, though. Why...?" Peter thought he knew the answer to that but he had to ask anyways! He blinked excitedly at Nathan, hoping his brother was going to say he could spend some time there before going home.

He shrugged, trying to act as nonchalant as possible, "Just wondering. You probably have a lot of good time to study while they're gone, right?" Among other things.

He was trying really hard not to think of other things, but it was hard not to, after Peter had gotten him so riled up. Sometimes he wondered if his brother did it on purpose.

"Its only the first week, I just have busy work but its easy stuff." Plus tomorrow was Saturday. Peter should have been thinking about what parties he could go to tonight but really he didn't give a damn. He just wanted to spend time with Nathan...cuddle with him, kiss him, have sex with him...anything and everything. It would make him feel even more like he was home.

"So you can spend some time there. Or I can go home with you for the weekend." That second idea sounded a million times better and he knew he was being over-eager now, but whatever.

"Yeah, even the first week, though, you dont want to fall behind." He wondered if it was safe enough to fool around at Peter's place. He wanted to ask if his door locked properly, but that would be overkill.

Nathan raised his eyebrow, looking over at Peter, "The weekend? I'm pretty busy. And I already made plans for tomorrow night." Hot date, which he'd omit. Peter didn't like hearing about that kinda stuff, "I can probably hang out a little more after dinner, though. That okay?" Of course it was okay. He could feel the excitement that Peter was trying to contain.

"Oh." He tried not to sound disappointed. He shouldn't have gotten himself worked up over the idea of sleeping in Nathan's big comfy bed all weekend. Besides, Peter did need to get used to living in his place. He just had to, it was a fact of life.

"Okay, Nate. I'd like that. You can help me get the appliances set up." Amongst other things.
