HAPPY TURKEY DAY

Nov 24, 2005 22:29

happy thanksgiving yall

im sitting here in NY after stuffing my face...i don't need to eat again either till christ comes again or until tomorrow morning...whichever comes first.  tonight i sliced & diced the turkey...the surgeon that i am...and managed not to hurt myself or others.  txt messaging kept a nice balance between my friends and family...so i didn't lose my mind...but i may not be writing 100% coherently now so please excuse the babbleness.  COLLEGE.  every family member that came in the door asked me every generic college question ever thought of.  I was told to, rather than go with my dream college, apply to /these other schools/ because my drunken cousin suggested it.  sheesh.  only 21 days till i find out about the rest of my life.  no pressure.

winter break = no plans.  i might end up working at the zoo (no, not the real zoo)...then maybe to CA for a few days.  that would be real nice.  there's this EMS conference going on that I want to go to...(it must be nice to be surrounded with other medics who are geeks like me, no?  all of us in a room, the world might not survive)  it's been a while since i've been to CA...and who knows, i might meet mr/ms right, or at least get some good chinese food.

In honor of thanksgiving, our molecule of the post is tryptophan, the acid in turkey that makes us all really really sleepy after we eat it.  I think tryptophan should be used more often clinically, but then again we can't actually hang turkey from an IV, though it does provide for quite a visual...(for more info, look up amino acid and their applications)

i'm insanely busy for the next few months for some reason.  i have 1 saturday free in the next 4weeks...how bout that...
ok i'm going to bed now that the tryptophan is winning and the caffiene is losing.  by a landslide.

RESPECT MON
