So yesterday I had my first ride out with medic 14 right?
We were checking out the bags and drug boxes and stuff, and Dan started quizzing me, mostly on the basic drugs, which I admittedly, didn't know very well, from not looking at them in months. I learned them again pretty quick however :P
I was going to start studying my cardiac stuff for class, like I had planned to, but Dan decided to 'suggest' that I memorize wilco's algorhythms for anaphalyxsis and asthma, for him to quiz me on later. I told him that I had been told that wasn't nessesary, and may even confuse me when it came to testing in class, because I wasn't being tested on Wilco's stuff. He in turn told me that if I couldn't tell him the drugs to use and the dosages, that he wouldn't let me give them. His words were- You are in wilco now, not school or S&W or anywhere else, so you need to know this stuff. He tried to get me to tell him I would study some number of pages of wilco's scope of care, and that when I was with his shift, he would be quizzing me on that, and that's what we would work on. He told me that when -he- went to school, he already knew all of wilco's protocol, and Austin travis county because it was required of him, and if I knew it, it wouldn't put me above the ACC students I'd be competing for jobs with, but I'd at least be ahead of my classmates. I told him, no, I don't think I'll have time to study that, I'm having a hard time keeping up with my class work as it is. He said that if I didn't know what to do, he wasn't going to let me do it.
I'm kind of at a loss here. I want to email John, but I'm not sure if Dan's actually out of line.

I emailed John and am awaiting his response.
