Freedom!
My first big purchase for the year. I love it. The color doesn't seem quite accurate, though, as it looks black in this picture, but it actually has a bit of a blue tint in reality. I love my moonroof and my heated leather seats the most. Trust me, there are few things that are worse than getting into a car and sitting on seats that feel like blocks of ice. I'd recommend the Accord to anyone; the ride is really smooth and I love how the interiors look (yeah, things like how the interior is designed are a MAJOR issue with me!).
Taking public transportation here in Chicago has never been an issue for me. As often as I have cursed the #50 Damen bus, I have to admit it has served me very well these past few years. I have also been a regular patron of the CTA Blue line. The car has just made me feel so free, though. I feel like I could pick up and go anytime I'd like to.
Anyway, as much as I've sworn to my friends that I can live without a car in Chicago comfortably, I think that these past few days have made me realize that this has been a bit overdue.
Maybe I'll moonlight a bit more and buy a GPS for it.
Hahahahahaha. I'm getting too obsessed with this car.
