I miss my family!
God, I miss my family! My siblings and I are really, truly each other's best friends. And no one loves me more than my Mom. And I had the most amazing Dad in the world.
I just put in my Keane CD, and the moment the first song started, I got a sudden memory of Chris and myself walking to the video rental store a block away from my old apartment. It was the middle of winter and we were so freaking cold, we were speaking to each other through clenched teeth. I had just given him his Ipod for Christmas, and I remember that he let me listen to it while were were walking to the store. Nothing out of the ordinary, really. Just a simple memory of me and my brother.
I was talking to Maggie today. We talked for over an hour and it just made me miss her so much. When Katie and I call, it's usually a pretty chaotic, fragmented five-way conversation between all four siblings and my mother, but this time, both my Mom and Chris weren't home, so we got to have Maggie all to ourselves. That prickly little hedgehog makes me laugh so much. :-)
