Independence Day has changed in that in 1776 it was a day on which the United States of America declared its independence from England. In 2003 people throughout England declared their Independence from America. I have no idea what Independence Day in 2004 will be, hopefully people all over the world who wish to be independent from America will be demanding their Independence from America in whatever way they find appropriate.

Answer to question 2.
The moral is something which is yet to be learned by the USA.....funny that it hasn't been learned and isn't understood by the USA since they themselves saw fit to declare their own independence ....the moral must be that which is written in the original Declaration of Indepence, as follows;
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness".
The message is that people in the UK and other countries are no longer prepared to tolerate American military and corporate domination which is enforced by the U.S creating economic dependencies which they abuse via human and natural resources to cater for their own domestic greed, and they are no longer prepared to tolerate the U.S meddling and interfering in the politics of countries the world over by means of violence and intimidation, in their own greedy corporate interests. Not all people in the UK are going to tolerate our politicians doing the bidding of the USA simply because the USA has been successful in creating an economic dependency in the UK and our politicians are more interested in their own personal success than they are in ethics, values or morality.
