He wandered up to her house, bouncing a little on his heels. He was extremely excited and also a little nervous at the same time - what if she'd changed her mind? What if she wasn't ready? I mean, after all they'd only been together a couple of weeks. She had asked him, but she still could have. He couldn't help but hope with all of his being that she hadn't.
He'd told his mum that there were going to look for flats together and she'd raised an eyebrow and asked whether he really knew what he was doing, and whether he really loved her and if he was really sure because after all everyone remembered what happened last time. But he'd spent the best part of half an hour listing all the reasons why he was sure, why he'd never loved anyone as much as he loved Liz and by the time he'd finished she seemed content and gave him her blessing.
He knocked on the door and waited, grinning a little to himself.
