In the middle of a roller coaster of emotional things happening here in Memphis,
I got offered a job back home in Austin.
It's more money, more hours, and working for a good friend.
In this economy, can you really turn down a decent job offer?
It's not a ton of money or a ton of hours, but I am currently making $9.00 and hour and getting between 4 and 12 hours a week.
Do the math people.
I am on food stamps.
I would say that Memphis has been a bust all around.
I have a couple awesome new friends here....like my girl Candy who took me in when Jay dumped me and has been taking good care of me, y'all would love her.
But, besides a couple friends and school...there is nothing keeping me here.
I don't like it.
It's not Austin.
SO.
I called ACC this morning.
I am going to get my transcripts from U of M today.
I have to print out and fax ACC's financial aid form.
I made sure I had them listed as a possible school on my FAFSA.
They said it could take up to 4 weeks to get the student loan money sent to them and then refunded to me. In the mean time, I would have to set up a payment plan.
I am not sure if any classes I want would be available even...
and CLASSES START IN 10 DAYS.
There is a 12 week session that starts late September.
If I can get registered for that, it will be a little easier to pull this off.
WHAT I NEED ASAP
Is to find a place to live.
Does ANYONE have a guest room that I could stay in, possibly for a month or two months rent-free...
and then start paying rent when I get my first paychecks coming in and my financial aid money? If you got an empty room in your house, you could turn that into a couple hundred bucks a month...
I hope this is the right decision.
I don't even know anymore...
