Ha! Just scored that new Amy LaVere album fo' free off one of my customers. Funny, just read the article in this week's Flyer last night on the treadmill. Never saw the old band, the Gabe & Amy show, but she's one bass slappin' honey, and i'm okay with that. The CD release show and start of tour is Tuesday, 5-15, at the Hi-tone. She makes murder ballads sound mighty sweet. "Classic Country/Gypsy/Jazz thing" sez she. Seen it, recommend it, see you there, buy me a beer.
