Let's talk about AUs baby

So I was chatting with estrella30 last night and we were ruminating about whether or not more AU fics should exist in JoBro fandom. On the one hand, there seems to be a fair amount of enthusiasm for Kevron AUs. But for Joe-centric or Nick-centric pairings, non-AUs outweigh AUs by a healthy margin.* Is it because these boys are ridiculously slashy as ( Read more... )

OH. I think all I write are AUs, basically. Nick/Older man AUs. Heh.

IF PEOPLE STOPPED WRITING THAT, I'D BE SAD.

Hmm. You DO write lots of good AUs! But, like, Nestor the bodyguard is a non-AU Nick/older man fic, right? I want more RIDICULOUS AUs, like your superpowers one! (I mean, I'll pretty much jizz over anything you write, so whatever. BRING IT ON.)

Hm, I guess it would depend how much a reader is strict about canon. Because even in the Nestor Bodyguard au, I think Nick is like 14-15 (FOURTEEN), and we all know he never had a bodyguard who wanted to bone him, in RL. HOPEFULLY. POSSIBLY? At least not one that looked like Nestor.

Anyway, I always refer to my fic as au because in SPN fandom, some girl once told me I only wrote AUs because my fic didn't follow EXACT episodic information-placement-timeline stuff. So if people are THAT picky about it, than I write aus. Even if they're not like MEDIEVAL TIMES aus.

SOUNDS LIKE A NERD.

Ahahaha, so when are you writing a medieval times au? And by that I mean an AU where Nick and Joe work at Medieval Times the restaurant/whatever you call it, and Nick thinks it's going to be his big musical break and Joe is all eye-rolling and they JOUST and Kevin is the Falconer.
