I am pleased with how the painting went this week. They hoped to finish on Friday. However, they will return on Monday to finish final details. They worked really hard. They did not show up or call last Monday when I thought they would be here. They worked extra hard the rest of the week. The boss man was especially easy to work with. I was nervous and could not eat when his employee was high up on a ladder. He was talking on the phone outside my window, complaining about how it was not safe for him to be up there. He was painting the blinds which are not easy to get to; especially the 2nd story blinds. He was not happy with his boss for having him up there without a spotter. A couple tentants told me nice things about the painters. They did the job the way it should be done. I have pictures to go through I promised I would send. The associate wants to see the pictures. It takes me a while to edit them to put them on the Web. I could burn them onto a disk. I have some of the work on the surveillance DVR as well. I enjoyed viewing some of the footage this evening. They are amazing to watch.
I have a contractor scheduled for a second consultation for concrete overlay this Tuesday. I need to look over the proposal and product choices and decide what to do. I know it needs fixing for sure. The asthetics are important. I will choose the surface color and pattern.
A man passed out while I was helping him shop for a bath tub. He really scared me when I saw him fall backward and his eyes rolled back while his hands where on the cart. I ran for help. I thought he would need an ambulance. I found the manager on duty before I picked up the phone. He went over to see how the man was doing. I did not reach another manager. However, the manager who went over to the man I thought may have had a heart attack phoned me to let me know he was okay. I would have stayed with the man except that I thought he needed more help than myself being present. I told the other manager about the story after he got back from his lunch break. The man was still shopping. He told the other manager he was fine. I asked him if there was anything we could do. He said he was okay. The other manager said he would keep an eye on him. I saw the man in the parking lot a short while later. He told me he had stopped taking his blood pressure medication. He said he has an appointment Sept. 3rd to see his doctor.
