I understand your cannibalism now...

Hannibal Rising is possibly the first film about Hannibal Lecter that I have watched and felt genuine sympathy for him. You find out about his family and how they died, why he has this desire to kill and eat his victims, and you start to make excuses in your mind for his cannibalism. Very strange. Although, due to recent university classes, I found myself studying symbolism, colour, costume, characters and lighting. Help me! It was really interesting to get a different perspective on the film, but no one will ever go to the cinema with me again if I sit there and analyse what the director is trying to say to us sublimenally. Well, Vague will. She was doing the same. It's a curse. The evil woman has gotten to us with her words of film analysis. I'm not sure that I would have felt the same sort of sympathy for him if I hadn't had those lectures, but then again, I always have sympathy for the wrong people in films. (-insert confused face-)

Anyway, I've been having nightmares. About evil swarms of nanoparticles! Who chase me and try to "eat" me. Although I have never gotten to the end of the dream or found out any more than the chasing part. I'm reading a book Craig gave me about this but I'm not at the end. It better not have a terrifying ending or I will not sleep. At all.
