So, it's raining...
And I'm bored and alone in the house. >_> Tristan is at work until 5pm (though he'll get his lunch break and call at either 10/11am), and my mother is out with my grandmother, getting corned beef for Saint Patrick's Day (though she just got back). There's not a damn thing on TV unless I want to watch Mork & Mindy - which honestly is a good show - and I can't even get in the shower right now because my mother decided to hang clothes in it. BLARG.
I've been stalking Amazon for like a week, watching the "estimated delivery date" for our preordered copies of Pokemon Black and White. We had called around to WalMart, KMart, and Play-N-Trade, and NONE of them are getting it. Is that fucking pathetic or what?? Play-N-Trade actually had placed an order for a bunch of copies of both versions, and up to about a week ago (when we stopped calling), they hadn't gotten an order confirmation yet. We wound up preodering on GameStop, but thanks to my looovely friend Jenae, we discovered that if I signed up for the 30-day free trial of Amazon Pro, I could get FREE 2-day shipping, and as long as I cancel before the 30 days are up, they won't bill us for the Pro subscription. I was paying $7 PER GAME for shipping at GameStop, because they wouldn't ship both games together, and I had to wait between 3-7 days for it. Amazon put a hold for the games on our card yesterday, and the site said the games were being prepared to ship, so I'm hoping that means they'll actually go OUT tomorrow, and get here on Tuesday, though it's probably more likely they'll hit here Wednesday. Here's to hoping nothing goes wrong with it.
In other news...I'm considering making a community where I can post what I've accomplished in White every day. It seems completely nerdy, but Tristan is always asking me when I play games during the day (especially new ones) what I did and how things went, and I can never seem to remember. Then he winds up seeing something while I'm playing (like how a Pokemon evolved), and asks me why I didn't tell him. :| And I always have to just say "I forgot." and he gets all moody with me about how "he's not allowed to forget things". So this time, I think I WILL actually make the community and post to it, since I had planned on doing so with HG/SS and never did. Now I just need a name for it. :O
