Ingrid Bergman and Movies (of Course!)

Nov 06, 2007 12:43

So currently, I am watching a movie called "Wild Strawberries" by Ingrid Bergman. It's the first movie of his I've ever seen (which I must admit, I'm a bit ashamed to say). Anyway, it's wonderful so far..the dialog is so realistic, with just the right hint of humor. The humor is actually kind of surprising, considering the topic-an old man having weird dreams that show him the emptiness in his life.

I was also pleasantly surprised that the movie doesn't feel slow. For some reason, I expected Bergman's films to have more of a deliberate, methodical pace to them. The surrealistic imagery, the clever dialog, and the abundant quirky characters the main protagonist meets make this film a captivating watch. I can't wait to see where the rest of the film goes..off to watch the rest of it now!

Anyway, what movies have you, the reader, been watching? Anyone else watched a Bergman film? Anything in the theaters you are excited about?I'm also curious as to other readers majors and experiences with finding internships.:)
