I'm sorry for not updating and all for the last 2 days or so... I've been really busy trying to do as much subbing stuff as I can before school starts, as well as having to finish up some stuff...
Anyway, to the Littlix! Subs help part. Here's the thing: We want to sub the Hey! Say! 7 LE DVD. We do not have a good quality raw.
Among the members of the group, only Kamichan bought it but his computer is having problems ripping it...
So what we need now is a volunteer with a copy of the DVD! We need you to help us rip it! You will be credited in the subs!
If you don't know how to rip a DVD, it's fine - We'll guide you through.
Now onto the real life stuff...
(I'm sorry that this is kinda long but I don't feel like cutting it. Just this time, sorry, f-list)
Summer Holiday's coming to an end. Tomorrow's the first day of school for me. After 2 months, the idea of having to wake up in the morning and get my lazy ass off the bed to get ready for school is... unthinkable xD Somehow, it's always like this - when the holiday begins, you feel lonely and sad. When it's ending, you don't want it to end. Bleh.
It was a great holiday, even if I went almost nowhere. I went on a short 2 day holiday to Genting Highlands with my old schoolmates, as one of them is leaving the country soon. There was also the unforgettable Bon Odori KL 2007, which I enjoyed myself very much (and became broke from buying too much Japanese food T_T). And I can be proud to say I was part of the Harry Potter experience: I was one of the thousand or so lining up at the Kinokuniya bookstore in KLCC at 4am in the morning, and was placed around #300 or so to get the book on launch day. Other than that, it was all at home.
You are probably sick of me promoting Littlix! here, but I'm happy that I materialized the ideas I had in my mind ever since I started being a Johnny's fan. On June 8th, I started Littlix! Forums. On August 4th, 3 days ago, Littlix! celebrated it's 5,000th post, and on the 5th, 2 days ago, we had our 1,000th member milestone. 6 days ago, on the 1st of August, I launched the JEportal section of the site - what I hope will be THE place for Johnny's news and discussion. Although we're not quite there yet, it isn't doing too bad - at least 500 unique visitors/day was recorded everyday in the first 6 days since launch. Littlix! Subs, my comeback to the subbing scene, became from just talk and idea on my LJ posts to a working, fansub producing group - and we've already released 4 subtitles for Tantei Gakuen Q, 2 subtitles for Juken no Kamisama besides 1 Shokura episode subs. And all this within one month too, as Littlix! Subs was only really started when TGQ was starting to air.
It was a great summer, even though the July AND August Shokuras were Tokyo-Jr void. I dislike the Kansai Jrs compared to the Tokyo ones, I won't deny that. I want Littlix. To tell the truth, while watching last Sunday's Shokura, I fastforwarded every part of Kansai Jrs, and only watched the NEWS parts. It wasn't that bad though, there was all the Hey! Say! 7 hype going on, one performance after another, the PV CM's release and then later the PV itself (which currently is the most downloaded file over at Littlix! Forums), and so on. Also, let's not forget the Oricon Wars with DBSK, in which Hey! Say! 7 came out victorious, breaking 3 records along the way. Both the Hey! Say! DVD and NEWS' Never Ending Wonderful Story DVD, which was leaked before the release date, were crack. I came to realize that after the Jrs, I probably like NEWS the most.
There were the dramas too - this season, I'm keeping up with 5 drama series - Juken no Kamisama, Tantei Gakuen Q, Hanazakari no Kimitachi e, Yamada Tarou Monogatari, and Papa to Musume no Nanokakan. Of them all, call me biased, but I like Juken no Kamisama the most. It's not just for Ryutaro, but the story itself is good, besides the acting of Yamaguchi Tatsuya as Umezawa Isamu and Nagashima Mitsuki as Umezawa Hiroshi are both superb, and they have really good chemistry too. If you've not watched this, PLEASE, give it a try. Trust me on this one. The others are pretty decent as well, Tantei Gakuen Q gives the weekly thinking, HanaKimi, Yamada Tarou and Papa to Musume the laughs. A great balance, in my opinion.
All in all, it was a good summer - one well spent: Materialized my ideas and enjoyed myself. All without spending much money at all. I will not be able to update the blog and Littlix! as often anymore once school starts, so here I'd like to thank those who helped make my summer a great one. Thanks for the support! Thank you for everything! Hopefully, you'll continue to read my blog even if I am not able to update it as much anymore.
