Hey all! Today was the orientation for BCC. I really can't understand why I was so worried. It went fine. It was about 3 hours sitting in the auditorium listening to people talk,. but it was ok.
The guy from the library went on and did his little schpiel about how to use the library and stuff, but of course he had no idea how to use powerpoint. It really wasn't neccesary. And of course at the start they switched around the schedule and the first speaker went over her time limit so we ran late. Since Financial Aid Lady decided to go over, the information we really needed about programs and degrees was rushed. Oh well.
On the plus side, I lvoe the campus, it's nice and small and friendly. They also have a program for students with disabilities, that means that I can sign up there and if I can provide the documentiation of my ADD/ADHD I can get certain benifits and tutoring. One of the major differences between them and Clark was best said by my mom. They have nothing to gain from it, the really DO want to see you do well. At Clark, they have to teach, but they also have research obligations so their hearts aren't all in the teaching. At BCC they actually care.
Oh and I lost 2 more pounds.!! I'm now down to 227!
