[she hisses as a buzzing sounds over the network. Someone didn't report on the network on time. She meant to do a voice post buttt hit the wrong button. And now doesn't feel like changing it, a bit...concerned with other pressing matters]
Tch. How annoying.
[but her annoyed expression is twisted slightly with

...Shouldn't be long. [He digs in the kit for a couple small packets of antiseptic, the kinds you tear. Then he just heads out and up the stairs to Horton's 4th floor. For a minute he contemplates just shoving the stuff under the door... but he eventually ends up knocking.]

...Thanks for coming so quickly.

[Awkward pause. Should he just hand the packets to her and go, or what? He couldn't see her fixing up that hand herself...]
You gonna need help with these? [He scowled a little as he said it... he'd put the offer out there, at least.]

I....can probably figure it out.
[she means to say it less unsure than it comes out. Especially with that scowl on his face; it would be awkward]

Look, I don't mind...ain't got nothin' else to do right now. [His scowl softened down just a bit--his concern was more obvious.]

...If you don't mind.
[she steps to the side, allowing him room to come in]

Uh... it's fine. Let me see how bad it is, I guess. You got any water around here to wash it out with?
[He glances around the apartment, barely taking it in. Then he digs in his pocket for a carefully wrapped makeshift bandage. He usually carries one in case of emergencies.]

Here.
[with a pause, she starts unraveling the bit of sweater from her hand, fingers uncurling slowly outwards. The opening of her palm shows that the gash, although not too deep, isn't exactly light, either. There's still blood seeping out of it, a bit.]

Alright... let me see that.
[He grasps her wrist hesitantly in his right hand and then pours a cupped handful of water onto the wound with his left. Then he tears the little packet with his teeth and carefully squeezes out the antiseptic. While that's settling, he lets go of her wrist to unroll that bandage for her.]
Just hold still. I think it's gotta sink in,or something... [While he unrolls the bandage, the damage to his left hand can be easily seen. There's a heavy, long, knotted scar straight through nearly his entire palm and the back of it. It looks old, if she'd even notice it.]

Your hand...you injured it as well?
[she peers a little closer at his palm, eyes squinting momentarily]
It looks worse than mine.

He kind of stiffens up, resisting the urge to just stick that hand in a pocket. Then he just sighs and relaxes again. What does it really matter if she notices something like that? It's been that way for a long time, over a year.]
Yeah... it was, but it's just a scar now. [Kind of a lie. He's got very little feeling in that hand, even though he can use the muscles in it. It took him a few months to even do that, and he's still clumsy with certain small things.]
This is just a dangerous place... [He shrugs and starts to wrap the bandage around, steadying her wrist with his bad hand this time.]

I guess I've been lucky.
[it's been true--physically speaking, at least. She's been outside with no other protection than what her hatchet can afford her, and she's remained unscathed.
[otherwise, her situation...wasn't desirable, she supposed one could say, what with the endless struggle between SEES and Strega. She felt almost a prickling of relief that Shinjiro didn't identify heavily with SEES: that he was someone else who probably didn't care for all the pointless strife]
The scientists here don't make sense. They can't expect us to survive for long if we have those annoying chips to deal with. [there's a sigh--she has a long standing suspicion of scientists, after all, her eyes finally shifting back to the bandage]
