(no subject)
We've had really beautiful weather this week. Yesterday in particular. It was in the 70's and was sunny all day. I got out of class at 1:45 and went to sit in the park. I ate lunch, read, met Jenna, talked, and just watched people. In all, I spent about four hours just sitting in the park. It was so great. I had class at 5, but decided not to go. Not for any reason - I was sitting right next to the building and it would have taken me about 30 seconds to walk there, but because I would rather have sat there than gone to class. So I didn't go. Skipping class for no particular reason feels so wonderful and liberating. Looking at the building and knowing your class is going on while you just sit in the sun chatting. It's super.
Last night, Jenna, Emy, Andrew, Flora, and I went to a movie. That was also lots of fun, because we all had things we should have been doing, but we were all blowing them off because it was such a glorious day and we were all so happy. Much too happy to do homework. The movie was bad, but I didn't even really mind.
That makes the second day in a row I haven't done any homework. It feels so indulgent and luxurious to just relax when you should be doing work. I love it. But I need to be more on task this weekend. I shouldn't have too much trouble after my rest :)
