So I had an entry all ready to update onto my livejournal - an outright rant that displayed exactly how hurt I feel right now. And I feel very hurt.
But you know what? Screw that. I'm not doing it. I don't need the backlash. I don't need the drama to get worse. That's not a level I'm sinking to.
"All in all it's unlikely I'll succeed and all in all it's unlikely, all in all it's unlikely we'll succeed, and all in all i said it's unlikely, all in all it's unlikely we'll suceed, i've developed a loving distaste for your wide open spaces, i sense a delay... oh brushing my mind and scrubbing behind all the places I fear there's decay of information, away as they run away..."
On the plus side, I'm going to get a lot of exercise this summer. I swear I've got my own drill happening in Britten. I start at the concert bass, go to my marimba, play suspended cymbal, switch mallets and play crotales, then go to xylophone, then run back to my marimba, then i play chimes, then back to my marimba, then run to Amanda's marimba, then finally to Eileen's marimba where I finish the show. All in one song. It's comical. I laugh. None of the other songs are remotely as bad. Not to mention with the recent addition of 2 octaves of crotales onto my keyboard, I'm going to get really buff this summer. I'm excited. :)
Oh yeah - and quote of the weekend: "Remember the ass you want to pass through." - Steve Holgate talking to the tubas and snares trying to do a pass through in the closer. However a close second would be Franko during a run of the ballad after Dan mistakenly scrapes the chimes with a bell mallet..."God fucking dammit." My image of the weekend will have to wait till next week as I mistakenly left my digital camera in my mallet bag in my marimba. Yeah, I know. Way to go Jami. But know that it's Franko with a shit-eating child molester grin on his face.
I'm out. Oh yeah - special thanks to Sharon, Martha, and Amber Jean for keeping me in check this afternoon.
Oh yeah and Pat - if a new poll comes up, I'll be the first to let you know. :)
And also thanks to Nanette and Martha - my new drinking buddies. I won't forget my sippy cup next weekend.
Wow - my mood just majorly improved with the addition of those last few sentences to my entry. Bucs is just full of awesome people. To hell with the one or two that make me sad.
