The Truth of the Matter

Merry Christmas jadeddiva!

I was originally going to do short pieces to give to people for Christmas. Somewhere under 1000 words. But as I only had two requests so I thought I would go for something a bit longer.

Thank you. I’m glad you like it. I was a bit worried, what with deciding to go with a slightly humourous approach to Scruffington.

This story is fantastic! You've captured his snarky voice so well! I could picture Jack Davenport playing this whole scene to the hilt - lazy, laconic, sarcastic and broken. And I can see the pirates and wenches telling their stories - their rotten teeth and dirty corsets, their half empty bottles and dirty hands. Great job! More, more! (With Norribeth, pleeeeese?)

Thank you. I’ve got to say, snarky Norrington is immensely fun to write. I’m not sure if there is going to be more, the first story was supposed to be a one off. You never know, I may revisit it in six months like I did its predecessor.
