From that Five Things Meme. Feel free to give me more as I love doing these sorts of things.

1. Doctor Who - This is an obsession of mine at the moment might all be a result of Law and Order UK. Plus, as I've said before, I wold like to see Ten pull that 'don't you think she looks tired' line on Laura Roslin. But, anyway, it works so well in general because with the TARDIS, the Doctor can show up in the Colonial Fleet, or on Caprica, or New Caprica, and I've actually got a crossover half written, and another one partially plotted. And well, if you look hard enough, there are similarities galore. (Like, for example, did anyone else notice in the fourth season finale/final, it all came down to one woman with a very special yet crappy destiny punching things into a control panel?)
2. Ashes to Ashes/Life on Mars - Okay, only had this thought because I saw a crack poll the other day which had Laura Roslin vs. Gene Hunt, and you know, given the similarities of the two universes (particularly the head!people and rock music of mystical importance), it'd totally work. And while Roslin's not a cop like Sam and Alex, she's certainly got her interrogation technique down (see: Flesh and Bone, Taking A Break From All Your Worries). So yes, circa Islanded in a Stream of Stars Laura Roslin was fighting crime in Caprica City and clashing with Gene Hunt and chalking the whole experience down to mixing weed with morphine.
Actually, given Roslin's love of pulp murder mysteries and a certain grumpy and old-fashioned alcoholic who believes his own emasculation is the worst possible thing in the universe, plus her connection to the weird mystical stuff going down at that time, and I would be surprised if Roslin had a hand in the creation of Gene Hunt. And thinking about, Space Oddity with it's talk of drugs and death and 'floating in a tin can far above the world' stuff and being Bowie's first major hit...I should stop now, or this might all end up becoming fic.
3. Star Trek - This crossover's kind of obvious for the space thing and particularly since the BSGs premise is nearly the same as Voyager (now there's a question, if Voyager hadn't done it wrong, would BSG have done it right?). Plus there's the RDM connection and a bit of actor crossover, and the Bashir/Baltar similarities.
But really, this needs to happen for two reasons. 1. because I stumbled across fic the other day which had Jim Kirk/Kara Thrace. The universe would not survive the combined awesome of that pairing.
And 2, I saw in an interview that Edward James Olmos passed on the role of Picard, and someone needs to write fic where the pristine and well behaved crew of Next Gen are stuck with drunken wreak that is season 4.5 Adama because that would be hilarious.
4. Torchwood - Felix Gaeta shows up through the rift and teaches Ianto how to be an interesting tragically doomed fan favourite gay woobie rather than a boring tragically doomed fan favourite gay woobie (lesson 1. Going behind the boss's back: good when your informing the resistance, bad when your hiding a cyberised ex. Lesson 2. Crying: save it for when someone is sawing off your leg. Lesson 3. Death: Better Captain Ahab than a red shirt), and at some point sings a duet with Jack because Alessandro Juliani has such an amazing voice (
Gaeta's Lament)
5. Grey's Anatomy(/Rome/Watchmen/Gilmore Girls) - The other day I was thinking how awesome season five of Grey's would have been if the guest actors had been playing the roles they were more famous for. Basically if Laura Roslin, Lucius Vorenus and Paris Geller descended upon Seattle Grace, and Izzie was being given orders from The Comedian in her head.
Top Five ways I would have ended it if I were in charge
Battlestar Galactica - I one of the few who mostly liked Daybreak *duck from objects being thrown* but I would have changed a lot about season 4.5. Dee would have lived, just so she could have had Admiral Dualla, instead of Admiral Hoshi (who is nice enough, but as my flatmate put it 'who's he?') I would have made the dying leader a bit more significant to the general mystical weirdness going on since Roslin's role of prophet seemed to been dropped a bit, and generally given Roslin a lot more to do, in particular bond with Kara. I would have made Tory sympathetic. And there would be a whole lot less of Adama crying, painting, drinking and vomiting (in fact, cut those scenes and give the time to Laura). And I would cut the epilogue and it would all end with the Easterly View scene.
Harry Potter - The epilogue, oh gods, the epilogue would have to go. Also, Tonks' whole plotline would have been changed and she would have been given something significant to do related to her powers and if she and Remus had to die, it would be on screen and awesome. Snape wouldn't have been in love with Lily and have switched sides for reasons other than love, and have lived to antagonize Harry another day. Finally, there'd be a lot less camping and a lot more Neville.
Pirates of the Caribbean -
This. (Basically, Norrington lives and becomes Davy Jones). And Pirates Four would not be in development.
Lord of the Rings - Sam/Frodo would be canon.
Rome - Lucius Vorenus lives! And it would turn out he and Pullo are actually Time Lords (hence, why they never age) and continue to have hilarious bromantic adventures through history.
For
airie_fairy Top Five Teenage Characters
1. Neville Longbottom (HP) - Is any explanation necessary?
2. Clyde Langer (SJA) - I adore all the SJA kids, but Clyde's my favourite.
3. Paris Geller (Gilmore Girls) - For me, Gilmore Girls was the Paris, Emily and Luke/Lorelei show
4. Grace (Joan of Arcadia) - I loved a lot of characters on that show, but she was my absolute favourite.
5. Ron Weasley (HP) - My favourite of the trio.
For
artic_fox Top 5 moments where I wanted to bitch-slap the Doctor"
1 .Deposing Harriet Jones in The Christmas Invasion - Sad thing is, Harriet ended up being a martyr to her rightness. Way to not make me like the new guy, RTD.
2. The Sixth Doctor every time he talked to Peri - That sailed right past banter and struck me as verbal abuse and I hate Six's serials for it.
3. Journey's End - What he did to Donna may have been necessary, but he should have taken a bit of time out to talk her around rather than leave it to the last minute, and combined with the truly WTF dismissal of Handy and Rose.
4. The Shakespeare Code - Ten was callous about Martha's feelings in most episodes, but that's the one that sticks in my mind as being the worst offender.
5. The end of The Long Game - Normally Nine can do no wrong, but I want to slap him and Rose here. And what the hell was with the 'only the best' thing? I think this scene is the origins of season two's smug!Rose.
