It's a gem I seem to have affixed to my forehead rather securely. I don't remember why. It seemed a good idea at the time I suppose.

I suppose I could use it for focusing. I assume that was the point of it...

Perhaps to contain something? Doesn't your magic require energy which might not be easy to contain? Something to generate the requisite energy must be available? Though, focusing does make sense. Necessary for anyone capable of magic, on some level...

If I were to practice my magic to its fullest extent I suppose it might be beneficial to create something to contain the possible flux, but I have always been able to reign myself in and there is nothing here that can cause the deterioration of my own mental barriers.
