I don't know the canon at all right now, but she's got some barriers up right now thanks to Charles Xavier. She's not quite looking to break them, yet. However if in the future you feel like breaking the both of them, I'm sure we could figure something out.

Just being in the proximity of one another would cause a chain reaction between the two if she picks up anything from him.

No. But his memories would sure as hell trigger her into talking about them.

Right now her telepathic abilities are reduced because of another telepath, but she is really powerful. She can read everyone who is there.
