Hello - I'm Lily, and I'm very glad to have found this community.

To sum up my situation I graduated five years ago with a bachelor's in biology, took two years off to recover after two heart surgeries, and have been working in biomedical research for the last three years. Due to my health issues while in college I sort of gave up on my dream of becoming a doctor because of the stamina required and wound up not taking physics. Oh, how little choices can cause trouble...

My financial situation is now solid enough that, this fall, I'm going to start taking care of that physics requirement at a local university. My question is - will med school admissions committees want to see a full year's worth of grades in physics, and therefore I should wait and apply for the '10-'11 academic year, or will an excellent grade that first quarter give me a chance of getting accepted for '09-'10? How heavily would that be affected by the strengths/weaknesses of the rest of my application?

Thank you!
