NHS Nurse Wins Dismissal Case Over Right to Wear Necklace with a Cross--from our colleagues across the pond. I swear you can't make this stuff up...

A nurse who refused on religious grounds to remove her necklace with a cross while on duty was discriminated against by her employer, a tribunal ruled.

Croydon Health Services NHS Trust was found to have directly discriminated against and harassed Mary Onuoha after she refused to remove the cross necklace in 2018 because it was a symbol of her Christian faith.

Ketamine learns a new trick

This week, we got a bit of early data examining the use of ketamine as a treatment for alcohol use disorder, often co-morbid with depression, in a paper appearing in the American Journal of Psychiatry.
