Title: Chasing Acceptance
Summary: A look at Chase's parental influences.
A/N: Self-challenge to have exactly 100 words on a character other than House or Wilson that fits the Father's Day theme.

“You’ll never amount to anything Robby,” she says nastily. I run to the first place that accepts me, the church. But it’s not for me because I don’t accept it.

“All right then son,” he says hollowly when I call to tell him I’m going into medicine. The uncomfortable silence that followed loudly stated just how accessory I was to him. I run as far as I can - to the other side of the world.

“Sometimes I forget why I hired you,” he says with a rare smile and even though he fires me shortly after, I'm done running.
