Title: Why Wilson Smiles
Words:200
A/N: A drabble inspired by Wilson's smiles in "No More Mr. Nice Guy"
The water drips off my razor as I look in the mirror. I smile a real smile that puts a twinkle in my eye, not one of the fake ones I’ve been carting around for the past year.
I feel all lit up inside. People think it’s my new relationship with Amber. But really, it’s my old relationship with House.
He came to bargain for time with me. He’s standing as determined as ever. He’s impassioned. He’s fighting for me, and I smile a real smile.
This is why there have been three Mrs. Wilsons and I’m working on a fourth. The women are a means to an end, and that end is House doing this. Fighting for me, proving that I’m important to him, that I matter. Every few years, I need this itch scratched. Amber had good timing. The sex isn’t bad either.
But just look at him, he’s on fire at the thought of losing me. He can’t live without me. Knowing isn’t the same as believing. I need him to show me every now and then. Him doing bed pan duty with Amber shows me, and I smile a real smile.
