Pigtown Fling
Just got back from Pigtown Fling. Ah, it was awesome this year. Dancing with 300 friends is always nice, but this year, I needed some cheering up, and people were very much willing to give me hugs and kind words.
So, I started learning Balboa. It's a *CLOSE* position dance -- imagine a full body hug (offcenter about 8 inches), and you've pretty much figured out the position. Since it's Pigtown, I had put a little stuffed pig on my belt. At some point, a lady looked slightly shocked, and quickly stared down, only to be relieved that it was a pig. I was so embarrassed, and went back to my partners one by one explaining: "It is a pig! I promise!"
