Thanks to reidluver , makeste and sordid_humors for the book reqs, and I most sincerely apologize for not answering your comments in the previous post. I... will probably go do that now?

I ended up at various bookstores (including Indigo) twice in two days, and so I have quite the haul. For those books I haven't picked up from those req'd, I'll probably go hunt them down once I'm done this latest slew... which should be in about two weeks, work and life permitting.

Anyway, since I promised reidluver that I would post a picture of my new mittens (!!!!!), I figured I'd add to that and do the room meme that Reid did... a couple weeks ago now? Beware: I did not clean before taking pictures, and there are dust bunnies freaking everywhere, how did this happen in four days? :(

First, MITTENS.

The story: I left my mittens at home. I complained about it, considering the RIDICULOUSLY COLD TEMPERATURE. I went out and bought myself a new pair, while simultaneously the family also bought me a new pair and sent it up... since my old mittens, according to them, were falling apart. :( And thus, TWO PAIRS. And I loves them both.

B'aw, and you can kind of see the rosette on the side there. SO WARM. SO FLUFFY. *_*

The new Canadian Olympic mittens are... warmer, actually. The old ones were quite warm, too, but these ones have an extra layer of lining and fleece, and I shall never complain. And look! The mittens make a maple leaf! <3

MY ROOM: in this apartment. The landlady is anal about things being hung on the walls, so instead I hang things off of the wooden accents. Because this is a good idea. (?)

Squishy bed. <3 AND PILLOWS. Because I love my sleep, and I love my pillows. I also love sweaters, that being the weird gray-green thing draped over my computer chair. The blanket there was hand-made by my best friend-slash-sister for my first year away from home, to "help keep me warm". And it has so, so much. <3

The... entertainment corner? The one thing that distracts me the most, hands-down, is the PS3. Those are mostly games under the shelf, there, but there's also KHR DVDs, Merlin Season 1, Stargate, McGuyver, Pandora Hearts, and other fun series. (AKA: more distraction.)

The... work corner? IDEK. That second closet there doubles as my pantry, with food noms and supplies and other stuff tucked away. That chair is my ~Reading Chair~, angled to get sunlight in the morning and afternoon, and nice and squishy. And another sweater. Ahaha. ...I keep rearranging my desk, too, so this is how it looks now. Subject to change, probably in the next week or so.

My friendlies bought me a Reborn puzzle for Christmas (1000 pieces!) and I've been working on it on-and-off. It takes up a huge portion of my floorspace, buuuut it's worth it. <3

Close-up of the desk. MY NEW TABLET IS THERE. *_* And my CD collection makes me laugh just because monotone-monotone-monotone-monotone-PINK-monotone-monotone-monotone-monotone. XD Rummoli is a wonderful card game, everyone should play it. Yes, that is a hangy thing of earrings and necklaces and bracelets, but mostly earrings. Me and my earrings. Um, most of the books recently purchased are on those two shelves, but some of them are currently either in my school bag or at my old roommate's place, where I spend a good... 30% of my week. Um. List of books after the pictures?

If it were not for this calendar, I'd never have my life in order, ahaha. The two picture/note things on the side are of my baby cousin, Betha (Elisabetha), who is newly turned 2 and is freaking adorable. Also, smiley face tacks, buttons I have yet to find a place for, and BOOKMARKS. Ready to be used! (Anime conventions spoil me with pretties. Srsly.) And a letter from "Abstergo", because I am a complete dork, ahahahaha...ha. Case in point:

Aaaand this isn't even all of it. THERE'S MORE AT HOME. D: 'course, there's also endless KHR stuff at home, too, so it all balances out. <3 Soooo these games are pretty much my life when it comes to distractions, and I recommend that everyone buy them. Even if it's just the PC version (I saw a copy of the original AC game at WalMart for... $7, IIRC). Also, that black box is a Harlequin-in-the-box (like a Jack-in-the-box, only scarier and with bloody knives), because... evil clowns are amazing?

SPEAKING OF CLOWNS. *_* This ties into the last picture, because a large portion of Assassin's Creed II takes place in Venezia. Also, the above-mentioned not-sister and I have decided that we are going to take a tour around Italy, and Venice is one of the first places we will be visiting. ...plus, man, the calendar itself is gorgeous. Why so pretty, Venice?!

So, that's my room in the apartment. It is horribly plain. :( Once I get a chance, I'll upload photos of my room at home... er, if people actually want to see it.

...yes, I was wandering through the bookstore and realized that, besides having bought and read Narina: Prince Caspian out of boredom on a flight home, I have never read any other Chronicles of Narnia Book. I am determined to correct this, apparently going in movie/written order. Bwahaha.

Also, some of these books were req's from before that I was never able to find, sob, or that people sprung on me via dA and other sites. Neil Gaiman I have heard only good things about, too, so.

And re: Artemis Fowl, I LOVE THAT SERIES. Kris (not-sister) and I have been staring at the interwebs, determined to be the first to make grabbyhands at book #8. WAAAAANT.

I wasn't able to find the Chaos Walking Trilogy, though once I get to an actual major city I'll probably have better luck in the bigger bookstores. Same with Johnathan Strange & Mr Norrell, sigh. I do plan on eventually finding them, though! They sound so good. :D

And I have a couple books at home from Terry Goodkind, though I don't believe I've ever read The Sword of Truth. Again, local stores failed at this, so when I'm home (which is... according to my lovely calendar whiteboard thing, on the 21st of February) I'll go hunt the series down.

Thanks everyone for your reqs, and I'll make sure to give each of them a good read! (I'll probably love all of them, just because I am easily pleased. ANYTHING FROM KIDDIE LIT TO GRAPHIC TORTURE, DEATH, RAPE AND OTHER SQUICKS, DO LIKE. *_* Sooo... any other reqs? I can always use a good reading list!)
