lines of melody softly lead
by lines of rich and subtle sound
that swirls around around around
the horns that sweetly bring their grace
and transport your to another place
the trumpets blare, so crisp and clean
portray all feelings, soft or mean
the flutes with phrases of sweetest pique
their sound is soft but never weak
with all the saxes harsh and loud
bringing joy to any crowd
and all the woodwinds left to say
brighten any listeners day
and such majestic symphony
is nil without a timpani
or drums or beats or sweet bell tones
that ring about the lines that roam
the violins whose voices sing
let there notes sounds loud and ring
and the bass of all the 'bones
that sliding sounds we all know
the sounds of music fills my soul
with a hope that makes me whole
