I realize there's only about five of you that even read this thing, and when you do, it's through your friend's page. So really, my current concern doens't really matter. I have a website, over at
redaem.com, which is currently not much more than a feed from my LJ. It's a simple design, using nothing more complicated than style sheets. Unfortunately, for an unknown reason, they aren't working anymore. So instead of the font I picked, with the nice blue, non-underlined links, I get crap. A more proactive fellow would take this as a sign that it's time to abandon the whole MVK motif, and make a real, grownup website with my domain. Perhaps I'll do that one of these days.
Other than that, things are going well. I took out an auto loan to replace my Saturn, and am now the proud owner of a 1999 Dodge Stratus. I've seen the Will Ferrel skit that features it, and it's about as good as everything else he does. That is to say, not at all. Celebrity Jeopardy remains the only funny sketch I've seen him do. It does help me win arguments though. If things aren't going my way, I just yell "I drive a Dodge Stratus!" and everybody shuts up. The Stratus has a few more miles on it than my Saturn did, but everything else about it is better.
School is going well too. In fact, I'll be done with all my required courses this summer. I have one class to take in the summer session, and then I'm free to student teach. If all goes well, I will be certified in January of 2007. If all doesn't go well, it won't happen until around May, which is fine by me. One thing I've found out though, is that if I plan to change states, I should do it as soon as possible. Pennsylvania technically has an agreement with most of the other states to accept each others certifications, but they can still make me jump through a lot of hoops.
I feel like I should be pulling a Rachael here and wax political, but she keeps up with current events better than I do, and so has said most of the things I'd have mentioned anyway. I will leave you with a political cartoon that happens to be on my list of webcomics. It can be found
here, and I think it sums up the current hot topic nicely. Perhaps not so important in the grand scheme of things, but amusing all the same.
