So one of my biggest problem with this trip was the prospect that I'd be missing two new episodes of Gilmore Girls, the only show I make a point to watch. I made arrangements to have my Dad tape the shows for me. I told him, I told my brother, I reminded him, and I told my mother. With three people thinking about it, I figured I was home free. Well, I just got off the phone with my dad, and naturally, he forgot. He apologized as best he knows how, by blaming it on my mom for not reminding him, even though she told him to write himself a note. He finally promised to tape next week, and the conversation ended. Rather than agonize over what happened with Rory & Martin, Luke & Lorelai, or Emily & Richard on March 8th until I caught a repeat, I decided to poke around online a bit. I was hoping to find a good download site, or at least a transcript, when I discovered that there was in fact no new episode on March 8th, or March 15th for that matter. In fact, there won't be another one until after tax season, in mid-April. I suppose they wanted to keep their accountant demographic. Of course, this whole situation could have been avoided if I watched the previews at the end of each episode. But I don't, and nobody knows that better than Rach. She'd come over to my dorm room to watch on Tuesdays, and I'd actually have to leave the room when the shoe ended to that the next episode wasn't ruined for me.
Speaking of work, I'd like you all to guess how many hours I've worked this week. You'll probably guess too low, unless you've been in a similar situation, or you're one of those high power corporate work-until-I-break type people. And since there are exactly zero such people in my small reader pool, I can remain confident in your underestimations. I'll leave the true figure as the first comment of the entry. As for now, it's a quick shower followed by a long soak in the tub. I've never ridden a horse in my life, but somehow I'm saddle sore. Figure that one out.
