So a friend of mine recently got a nice (read: expensive) ring from a boyfriend,
...he then dumped her. Dumped her RIGHT after giving her a ring.
To which I replied "SWEET!"
So, now the polite thing to do is give a gift upon breaking up.
I l-o-v-e this news. It just makes sense, it's like a consolation prize, that you'll love to have and maybe even pawn.
