Assignment: Freud's Touch
XXIn Psychology class, I learned quite a bit about one of the great psychologist out there named Freud. One thing that I was taught about Freud was that we still look to it today because he came across things and subjects that we still look at today. And one the things that he came across that I still see today, for myself, is what he said about when another likes another.
XXWhen another likes another some might say then the other wants to go on a date with the other person. Maybe get the person’s number and other things. Another want, so to speak, is to have sex with that person. That might be more commonly seen amount most. But what Freud said was that when another likes another, they just want to plainly touch the other. And I believe that to be true. I believe because I see it with myself. The people that like me are either aggressive with me or really friendly with me by touch. The person who likes me may grab my arm or punch my arm or any other form of touch. Like Freud said, the human just wants to touch.
