I logged into XI during WoW maint on Wednesday and did some Assault. It was pretty uneventful, Lebros Cavern T1. Noticed they gave MNK a new move called Footwork, since it was on walls I didn't see much of a difference except seemingly slower attacks and faster TP gain. I tried getting to DA earlier this week when the WoW servers were stuck on authenticating, after using a sneak pot on top of my current sneak that was wearing off and dying, I opened search to look for possible raises in the area, was ignored by two JP mages running past but got a raise from a kind BRD who was also on his way there.
After I finally zoned in to Aery I realized I couldn't even move and that there was a massive delay on everything I typed, making it impossible to talk to people in tell without having to double check that what you said was not in say. The lag even in an unpopulated spot was insane and after a few minutes of this I decided I couldn't handle anymore and logged off to wait for the authenticating problem to go away.
So then I went looking for a Karag group on my Rogue, got picked up relatively fast, they summoned me into Kara, we downed Attuman and then this happened:
Nobody told me that I had been invited just for one boss, I was so pissed. Not juust because I was kicked from the group without warning, but now I'm saved to their lockout and can't clear the rest of the raid with a different group until reset. Unfortunately I wasn't quick enough to pull the room next to Moroes and MPK them before I got ported out, so I decided to log and sulk for the rest of the night. The next day I checked Kara and they hadn't even managed to clear Moroes before disbanding, I asked them if they were going to try again today, they were.
So I made my own raid and cleared it. I wish I could have seen their reaction to spending hours making a raid and then entering to find it empty.
My warrior on Moonglade is level 40 now. I've actually been enjoying RP, as well as playing Alliance and tanking. I've been having more fun on Moonglade than Talnivarr, between frequent city raids, RP that is fun to watch and nicer players overall. It's also a bonus that English is spoken more fluently in groups and trade chat.
I might move my main to a different server because most of the guilds here suck. My raiding guild disbanded because the leaders were offered a spot in Betrayal, taking the guild bank that everyone had donated to with them. One of the leaders had only recently dinged 70 and was still in blues and greens but he's being carried through Sunwell to leech stuff because the leader is a RL friend. The only good guilds are full on Hunters or Priests, so transferring is the most likely option.
