Ho-Lee Crap.
A 2010 yearbook quotes Adolf HITLER in their intro to the seniors section. Seriously, here's the link.
http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.action?articleId=281474978474666 An honest mistake?! HITLER! Yo know, I bet it WAS a mistake. I can totally see some yearbook staffer google'ing "famous success quotes" copying a bunch of them and not knowing who Hitler was. Think I'm kidding? The sister of a friend of mine who graduated 2 years ago hadn't even HEARD of the Axis Pact, to say nothing about it's members. Holy pants. Hit-fucking-ler, in a year book.
Further, the quote is "And in the last analysis, success is what matters." I mean seriously. "Eh, so we executed millions of civilians, it's okay, we won." Oh wait, no, you dind't, jerk.
Someday, you educators who could be termed "lousy," when you're in your twilight years, the horrible foundation you're laying now will bring your house down around you. Does NOTHING illustrate the madness that is public education when this sort of thing can slip through, I mean do they not have a faculty member overseeing the compostion of the yearbook? So either, some maladjusted kid KNEW who A.H. was and thought that sneaking this one in was too cool for words, OR some kid didn't know the guy who made certain we would have universal-feel-good-killing-movie-villains might not be the ideal figure to quote.
Teach. Children. History.
Real. History.
K thanks.
