I apologize for the poor quality, but I barely had time to capture this pizzeria show before it ended as Trevor and I passed by the restaurant during our venture downtown today. A huge crowd had drawn to the windows of the restaurant, and inside were two pizza chefs performing tricks with their dough, tossing it into the air and throwing it over their shoulder, standing on the restaurant tables as music played and someone flicked the lights on and off. It's a good way to attract business, I think, though I can't decide if it is better or worse to eat a pizza that has been prepared in such a show. Trevor was certainly sold by the idea, though, and said he wanted to eat there when the show was over.

I prepared some dough myself tonight, though of a different species, and tomorrow I'll roll it up with cinnamon and see if the result is pleasant or poisonous. I'm not quite as skilled with a wad of dough as these performers, but squishing and rolling dough is fun nonetheless; perhaps someday I'll learn to juggle blobs of cookie dough, plopping them onto the baking sheet as I go. Someone else can stand by with a chocolate chip pistol and shoot the dough-balls as they fly through the air, and the taste of the cookies will improve significantly as a result of our antics. That's how cooking works, after all. The more exciting it is to make it, the more delicious the result!
