Addendum of the Day #526

Mar 02, 2010 02:15

Walking along from the Physical Sciences building today, I saw this flier posted on the wall. I saw the bold letters first; before I was near enough to read the scribble addition, the words had already bubbled up into my mind. It's rather amusing to come across something like this - seeing a reference that a complete stranger has made to something you're familiar with. I woke up this morning feeling not at all myself, but as the day progressed my mood improved considerably. This little sign was just one of many springboards which boosted me throughout the day.

Today was Trevor's birthday, as well. He wasn't here on Saturday to eat the time-traveling cake, so Alex and Rob made him a gigantic funfetti cupcake, about the size of his head and slathered in rich frosting. It was soft and exceedingly tasty, and the subsequent sugar rush delivered quite a shock to my metabolism.

For an apartment nearly bursting with musicians and instruments, we sang Trevor the most haphazard birthday song I have endured in a long time. Rob actually forgot a line!

I managed to catch only a few seconds of the song, but you can see us singing, and Trevor blowing out the invisible birthday candles, right here.
