twenty things i genuinely miss [no order]:
1. waking up saturday mornings to watch cartoons.
2. not paying for a roof to live under.
3. 10 cent hamburgers and 25 cent cheeseburgers at mcdonalds...
4. ...bucket of fries.
5. going on vacations every summer [and not having to worry about coming back home by a certain date]
6. having my mom look at me square in the eyes and tell me i have to be strong.
7. my grandmother's cooking.
8. my misfortuned parrot polly.
9. the smell of grass after it rained...like it smelled when i was a kid. it's not the same anymore.
10.waiting for christmas with so much excitement [if any]
11. when school consisted of writing class, math class, music class, and art class.
12. our reptile room.
13. waking up to a snowy day in dallas.

18. realizing i have a whole weekend to spend doing nothing in particular.
19. going to the local market with my grandmother as a little girl and eating a fresh loaf of warm cuban bread taken from the old black oven.
20. being twelve and realizing i will be an adult in the future. [so sad how i thought i'd have a career by now]
