Having been into JRock for some time now, listening to bands like Shonen Knife and Mika Bomb. And also bands like Malice Mizer and Dir En Grey, who I have recently found out are Visual Kei. Visual Kei or Visual rock, is pretty much JRock but with a large focus on the look of the band and in some cases it's more about the look than the music.
A huge thankyou to
mechakittytron and
cyberdink for pointing me in the direction of this fantastic site.
http://japanvisualkei.blogspot.com/ So many new things to listen too. This site is definitely worth visiting if you are into JRock and various other forms of japanese music. It is filled with so much free content to download and many pretty pictures. :-D
I wish I had known about this sooner as I am finding so many new things to listen to.
There are many worth checking out, Kokusyoku Sumire and The Candy Spooky Theater just to name a couple.
I just used the LJ spell check and the alternative it gave me for Kokusyoku was 'Cocksucker', bad LJ, should wash your mouth out with soap.
At the moment I am pretty much constantly listening to Antic Cafe, or as they are more commenly known, An Cafe.
