We decided to get the kitty! We picked up an application, the lady was really stoked about us wanting her. So stoked she left this message...

"Hi, this is Nancy calling from Whatcom Friends of The Animals. It's about 2:30 on Monday afternoon. Luna is a really good kitty, she's really good. I'm very strict about having her as an indoor kitty, because about five years ago I watched my cat get attacked by a raccoon right in front of my eyes. The cat lived, the raccoon didn't, I killed it...with, a...shovel. Anyway, Luna is a really great cat. She was dropped off on my front porch with six kittens, all of the kittens got placed except her, and that was over a year ago. Anyway, call me back and we'll see what we can do."

I really enjoyed the shovel part.

On Thursday we're going to drop off the application and hopefully we'll get her. Instead of naming her Misses Beasley/Bumbles or Norris...we decided that since her name is "Luna" we're just going to change it to "Tuna". That works too.

I created my first piece to wheat paste. I plan to do it in the alley behind Old School, Clarks, and all that. I dunno when though.

I'm also wanting to get a Japanese Maple Tree. I don't know how much they run. We recently got a tomato plant, a patchouli plant, and a spearmint plant. They all seem to be doing well.

We didn't get the super 70's Brady house. However, yesterday Melissa and I found one on Humboldt, and the girls were on the lawn and told us to walk through. It's pretty awesome. It's a 2 story, all the bedrooms are painted a different color, with peaky roofs. Melissa and I picked out our room already. The only downside is there is only one bathroom. I know Matt and Jon don't mind. We initially did, but this one is just too cute. So hopefully Matt and Jon will like it okay.

Lastly, I want to read all these books this summer: Finish 1984, finish The Portable Atheist, god Is Not Great, Johnny Got His Gun, Manifesta, and The War On Choice. All of these are haunting me from the shelves.

Things are good. I'm happy.
