We were talking about "The Moonstone" by Wilkie Collins. Interesting fact: During most of it's writings Mr. Collins was hopped up on goofballs; Opium goofballs, and invented a doppleganger he called "Ghost Wilkie". Aside from inventing Detective Fiction, Wilkie wasn't a very creative guy.
Point of this being I look a quick survey of the other English majors in the class and though, "I'm not one of THESE people". Truthfully I have done that in just about every class I have had just far. As I later browsed my unofficial transcript, I couldn't notice much of a pattern besides the two lit classes I have take from Autumn 06 and Winter 07. That shouldn't be grounds to infer I'm an English major, but it's the only one where I have the prerequisites. Thus far and for the rest of my college career I'm going to be settling for what is available until, and if I ever become a grad student. My English TA has spent the past 12 years in college and "Doesn't know" what she would do next, if anything after her exams to be a Ph.D this November.
Just a hunch, but I would guess that she will be either teaching at a community college, working at a book store, or continuing as a student in a different field and racking up the debt as if she would win a prize.
