WARNINGS:  Well, you put these two in the same vicinity of each other, do expect some fighting.
SUMMARY: The Grape and Blueberry butt heads!  -coughs-  I mean Vava and X butt heads and....yeah XD.

Forming a small hunter party, X was leading a group

His armored boots knocked at the rubble nearby, he watched the pieces tumble down the hill before he was pause once again on his walk. It didn't seem tonight would be active, then again he didn't expect it to be. It had been extremely quiet the past few days, make that the past couple weeks. X knew that it wouldn't last though, never did. One uprising defeated and it gave way to the next.

It was when he let out a soft sigh that X sensed something. Not the normal warnings his sensors gave off when detecting a Maverick in the area but it was more of a feeling. The blue hunter could feel eyes on him, though he wasn't sure if he was imagining or not.

Calmly sweeping his surroundings, he didn't spot anything right off, but X wasn't about to let it go. Something within him urged him to look further and that's when he looked to the tower. "...he still there X. Frozen like a statue...no way Lumine can come back." With doubt now settled into his mind, worry as well, the hunter began stepping towards the elevator.

Unaware of himself being watched, X would go into a entryway on the side of the tower, one of the access chutes used to help build the elevator and glanced up. It wasn't going to be an easy climb, but he was sure with some crafty wall-kicking, he could be up on the first ledge in no time.

The eyes followed the figure carefully, the body they belonged to shifting only slightly so that a better view could be attained. Once that was accomplished, they continued to watch the quickly-approaching Hunter, the small grin spreading into something much larger when he started in towards the opening in the elevator ruins.

"..Fufufu.." A normally quiet chuckle sounded much more sinister and ominous when bounced around the hollow area, echoing down towards the base of the elevator. He hadn't intended to keep himself in hiding for much longer, if the Hunter in question was really the one he thought it was. And even if it wasn't, he would still have fun, that was for sure.

Pulling himself up onto the ledge, X froze. That sound, that laugh! It was faint but there was no mistaking who that was. Looks like tonight wasn't going to be so quiet afterall. Narrowing his eyes he looked up the shaft.

"Vava..." From the sound of the echo, he couldn't determine the exact place of the maverick, but he knew that he was some ways up. "Where are you?"

Kicking off the walls again, using his leg thrusters to push himself further up the shaft, he formed his one arm into it's buster, getting himself armed and ready.

"Ding-ding.~ We have a winner~" VAVA's voice echoed, another laugh tacked on the end of his mocking sentence. He was rather pleased that the Hunter in question happened to be X as he assumed; it filled him with a certain sense of pride that he could so easily identify his greatest rival and target with little to go off of.

He shifted in place as he heard the Hunter climb up another level or so, a grin stretching his hidden features. "Let's have a little fun, hm~?" He chuckled, slipping out from his hiding spot slightly. "You like playing Hide-and-Seek, X?" The thrusters in his legs burned on as he moved upwards, darting into another crevice of the broken-down elevator. "You're It. Fufufufu." Even he needed to have a little fun every now and then.

"Nng...VAVA!" He was sure of it now! Even though there had been no doubt in him of who it was that he had sensed...the laugh a dead give-away as well? It was definitly Vava. He was almost as bad as Sigma was to X. If not worse because if there was Vava, Sigma was almost always close to follow. Besides that, the first major uprising he had dealt with, Vava was the reason his dearest and closest friend had lost his life. Though resurrected, X still couldn't forgive the maverick for that.

"I'm not in the mood for playing games." Grunting, X pulled himself up over the next ledge, looking around at his surroundings to get a feel of where obstacles were before kicking himself into gear and wall-jumping up to the next major level of the elevator shaft.

VAVA laughed loudly as he sat in his chosen spot for the moment, enjoying how frustrated X sounded. It had been a while since he had anything interesting to do and it was good timing on the Hunter's part to arrive at his hiding place that night. He tapped his foot a little as he waited, murmuring, "C'mon, c'mon~ You're better than this, aren't you?"

His laughter only increased when X started complaining about what kind of mood he was in. "Then, really, what kind of mood are you in? Hahahah, you're such a stick-in-the-mud, X!" He grinned and shifted in place, gaging the amount of time he would need to make a quick escape to the next level. When he heard X reach the current level, he slipped out of his spot and started up again, enjoying this game he was playing. How long he'd be able to keep it up wasn't entirely clear; VAVA would get bored eventually, of course.

X was good at this. He just didn't enjoy doing this. One of the other things he didn't like as well, was that there was no best friend here to help him out. Zero had always managed to be there and help him out with Vava. Now that he's on his own, what will happen? Shaking the thought and question from his head, he had to focus on Vava. Get to the maverick and try to take him down. If he could bring him in, that would reflect really well on his reputation as well.

X looked up just in time to see Vava slip out of his current spot and widened his eyes. "No mood to play around like this. Vava! Just stand down and make this easier for yourself!"
