(no subject)
Every once in a while, a thread comes up on /a/ that discusses 3D vs 2D. I always lurk these threads. I'm not sure why. Maybe to feel justification of my past actions or to feel how lucky I am. The threads usually start out with jokes, starting with "I'll never stray from the path of 2D", or that someone's waifu is more superior than any 3DPD (Three-dimensional Pig Disgusting)[/a/nons sometimes use it as a noun, which sounds kind of funny if you don't say it as the letter abbreviations].
But anyways, the thread later deteriorates into a Bitches and Whores Thread and people start posting their horrible experiences with girls/women from their life. Some have had horrible experiences with girls when they were children or have been given unfair chances in romance. I can't help but feel sad that there are people out there that stomp all over these people's feelings like they are nothing. It also feels sad how these people....
I can't remember what I was going to say. Livejournal tends to restore things that were deleted when I haven't posted. I'd thought I would leave it up in case I do want to read and finish up what I was going to say. Anyways, a new thought has crossed my mind after finding a post on /a/.

Where do you think you'd be if you had never gotten into anime and manga, and anything related to it?

It's hard for me to imagine. I might have killed myself like how some of the other repliers. I might have become more so a normal person. I might have done drugs, or became really fit and athletic since I used to play a lot of sports.
Most likely I wouldn't be here at SJSU, because my decision on choosing the school was heavily anime-based.
I am heavily influenced by the people around me though. I would have been a more cynical person that I already am. I may have studied harder. I can't envision this. I can't envision this kind of person.
Maybe on another World Line I would mention this post as with a "What if anime and manga influenced my life?" I wouldn't have mentioned a Steins;Gate reference though, that's for sure, haha.
