I think one of the students did end up explaining it to him. He was still mad that the question was so hard. I asked him what his justification was for getting the easy question wrong was, and he was just all "NEWTON. >:C"

I think that since Newton sorta established physics FOR THE WORLD that it's not completely unfair to expect Japanese students to have some idea who he is.

Then again, if I've learned anything from anime, physics apparently doesn't exist in Japan.

Which is why I think I should have clarified and said his full name. I think they pronounce his name differently in crazy Japan-land.

Or maybe just said "Godzilla" instead of Newton. Yes. And then reenacted what a fight between Godzilla and Cloverfield would look like.

P.S. I miss Cloverfield. I wanna watch it again.
