I just returned from another moto venture to Port Townsend, Its a lovely little historic (1800's) costal boat building town. Myself, Kevin and Greard rode out friday afternoon. We took the ferry to the islands and rode through a touch of rain, as to be expected I tend to bring it with kompressor. We stayed in downtown at a 1889 hotel it was trully neat 14ft valted ceilings makes a tall boy happy. We were in a 2 bed room with views from 5 surrounding upper floor windows. We went on the town after we unpacked the bikes and had some fine seafood at a wonderfull upper end resterant. I have not had Halibut in a toasted creme hazelnut sauce like that ever, lemmme tell ya it was incredible...
We wondered over to the pubs and looked out on the sea. Was a nice time, in the morning I found a great cup and we hiked out to the old 1904 bunkers with cannons and caverns its totaly intacked and mucho-creepy-O. One of our friends brought his son along, 9 year old was very sweet he was a typical gamer kid and actually had an Atari! Fine education! He knew all the old school games, we bonded well. Actually our humor was on a similar level...
sad really when a grown man spills the same jokes a 9 year old does but hey what are ya gonna do. It suprises me how well kids do around me, they are hugging me and my little buddy by the end of the day it seems. Who knew a guy like me would have that kind of a effect. Well all and all we had a great time ride was good no problems and it was a nice little escape and as always its great to ride back to the city, i miss it and its a welcoming return every time.
