Sarasota!
I've been in Sarasota since Wed for the AChemS conference (Association for Chemoreceptive Sciences) and we have had the BEST time. It was soooo nice to get AWAY from Wofford/SC and spend some time in the nice Florida sun!
We presented our poster Thursday night and that went well. It was a little nervewracking at first, but I think we handled the questions well.
After that, we went out for drinks and stayed out until about 1, when we got "kicked out" of the pool area because they got "complaints." There probably really weren't any complaints because no one actually lives here...just the hotel, which was filled with AChemS people who were all outside with us anyway. And besides, we weren't really being loud. But whatever...I discovered a new drink: vodka sour. A girl from Millsaps (Chrissie) introduced it to me.
Anyway...that's about it. We're leaving at 7 tomorrow morning...our research has been presented, we did the Boathouse thing, we did the pool thing, we're burnt and I think it's time to head home. But I don't really want to. I think this is the first time I honestly haven't wanted to leave a vacation. Oh well...3 more weeks.
