As I sit here Indian-style on my hardwood floor (the cats have monoploized the couch and chair) I come to the grand conclusion that I need more furniture. If all goes well with my finaid appeal then perhaps I can work furnishing my apartment.
Sadly, I've also come to realize how much I miss having a porch to sit on. Heck, just an open window. Since my bat incident I'm afraid to open my windows... plus I have two window a/c's that I'm sure will be needed once the Indian Summer begins (damn Indiana weather). In the meantime I've opted to run (jog) along the Rivergreenway at twilight to enjoy the weather. I've waited all summer for this damn weather (as has my wardrobe). I'm going to find an apartment with hardwood floors AND a porch/balcony.
Working the Kenny Chesney concert in the morning. Have to be up at 2am which puts bedtime at about 8pm. In anticipation of this I've slept ALL DAY (no joke). Being on my feet for 20 hours will be hardwork. At least I'll be able to scare the short little man. I can't wait to see his ice sculpture, though. It's supposed to be blue ice made into his blue chair. I'm bringing my camera but doubt I'll be able to take pictures. Maybe if I close I can after he leaves.
College football has begun and soon NFL. My fall/winter will nearly be complete. Do not pity me for having found such happiness amongst the sports pages as the other joy in my life begins Sept. 21st-- Grey's Anatomy! I'm hoping that I can find some intellectual time inbetween commercials to paint and write and study. There is also that thing you all call my life which I refer to as work. CVS, Bdubs and the catering business will be taking up a lot of time for the month of september and october. But when November begins and the snow makes an appearance (hopefully) I'll be sung in my apartment with finaid money, one job to pay my bills, and all the football and grey's anatomy I could want.
