now... a poet tries to explain something.... anything... everyone can be a poet, its not an exclusive thing... they use whatever medium they have at their disposal.... sometimes they write it down as you so often see... other times they shape their words into something grand and visible...... or even.... music.... to understand takes time, but even more importantly, it takes your own expressions.... if you don't express yourself, how are you to understand something else? it doesn't come to you right away...
